Audi provides 2.5 years and 5 updates from the build date for free, in the MMI. If you are out of this period, you are supposedly able to get the last available update for free manually from myAudi starting Q2, 2021. This doesn't seem to exist at all. AoA and dealer are not helpful.
Using an SVM code, the ODIS tester will perform the following steps: Check the installed software and verify an update is available. Initiate the MMI software update by entering the red engineering update menu automatically. Automatically start the update and accept starting all prompts.
Received 349 Likes on 204 Posts. Firmware for MMI update is free - when you buy a new map. Do not buy on the internet because it's a waste of money. You must go to the Audi dealer to activate map which is on-line. I think no one has hacked the system for navigation.
Audi owners of certain 2017 models and all 2018 or newer models should attempt to update their maps OTA (Over the Air) within the vehicle. Those owners without in-vehicle OTA capabilities should contact the Audi Customer Experience Center at 1-800-822-2834 (800-822-AUDI).

2019 Map updates. Hello Chaps, I tried to download the 2019 maps through myaudi for my 65 plate TT but can only see the 2018 version. I had my service booked last week and asked the dealer about it. They said that updates are not free after 3 years and quoted £270!! [smiley=bigcry.gif] (£220 for the maps £50 labor) to make the update.
